Upon graduation, he moved to Hawaii and worked in construction for 7 years, first as a carpenter and cabinetmaker, and later as a design build contractor. He served his architectural internship with several notable Maui firms prior to establishing this practice in 1988. Steven is licensed in the State of Hawaii. As principal architect and sole owner, he actively participates in every project and sets the fundamental design direction of the firm. Working in a variety of styles we have devoted particular focus to the design of vernacular architecture which reflects the environmental, cultural and historical context of Hawaii. Over the years, we have developed a reputation for the quality of our construction drawings and our particular attention to detail.
