Kaanapali Beach Hotel Lobby Renovation

The Kaanapali Beach Hotel was one of the first hotels developed in the early 70’s on Maui’s famous Kaanapali Beach. This most recent lobby renovation was designed to reflect a Hawaiian Sense of Place, consistent with the hotel’s philosophy. Walls and columns are clad in tropical hardwood, as are the new sliding doors and windows. Floral patterns in the new carpet and upholstery are repeated in the custom designed furniture. The new front desk area is ergonomically designed for staff comfort and guest usability.  A new plaster ceiling hides indirect lighting and a new sound system, as well as the necessary miles of IT cabling and other wiring.

Perhaps the most unique element of this design is a new stage for the free musical entertainment that takes place at various times thoughout the day. The stage backdrop is a photo-realistic mural of the nearby shoreline, framed in beautiful Mahogany, flanked by elegant displays of authentic Hawaiian musical instruments and similar collectibles. In addition to  functioning as the main reception area, the new lobby will be activity central for the musical, cultural and educational experiences that the guests will enjoy.
